      banter could be banter back then. Living near Brighton used to be some great but simple banter:

      We can see you holding hands for example.

      You get kicked out of the ground for that nowadays! People just seem to want to be offended.

      • FA cup 6th round 82,Clive Allen running the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Palace fans when he scored . Everyone on the pitch celebrating at the end ,then Palace coming on too, old bill on horses and it was all going off alarming ,outside too.

                        • That 82 /83 promotion season on the plastic was special , the last few home games v Leicester , Fulham , Leeds and wolves it seemed like we invaded the pitch every week , kicked off big time with wolves down by corner of the ellersie and away end .
