Another question for the wrinkly ravers on the site

How good was in the hoops?? What are your memories

When he’s been invited back on the pitch seems proper character

Brilliant in the semi v WBA and marking Regis and flicked on Stainrod's throw in the final for Fenwick to score at the back post.

was well liked by the rangers faithful , gave his all in every game i watched , if i remember right had cyrille in his pocket at highbury, just one lapse and he should have scored but didn't

That documentary from the beeb a few months back on black players was really good. Hazel and Regis in it.

Is a true legend in my eyes. He commanded on our plastic pitch, few could dominate him. Strong and reliable sums him up nicely for me

As for the wrinklies westy think you're a bit cheeky there
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

Brilliant for us. Big, strong and very, very good. Loved by the fans. Always a smile on his face.

Really can't think of a bad word to say about him or know anybody that would

we had an abundance of talent if my memory serves me right. Fenwick, Macca were all competing for the central defence positions

I can remember him going up for a ball in our pen area and coming down real bad on the old Ominturf, I think he actually knocked himself out.
Real nice guy and gave his all. I had 1BobbyHazel as my name on another forum many years ago.

Became a cult hero after a shaky start, scored an own goal in FACup defeat at home to Watford. Was a bit clumsy at times but soon became an absolute rock at the back alongside Roeder and Fenwick.

Scored the best own goal even seen on a football pitch dive header

                          Great player proper unit
