What does that say about the Chairman, taking advice from his media man over and above his DoF who had expressed reservations over it. Publishing this in his book does him no favours at all PR wise.

few on here will be distraught reading that as that was one of the sticks they use to bash Les. The other one was he Brought Ravel back second time round when Ollie quashed that at fans forum when he said it was he who wanted and Les said avoid

Perhaps Les is not doing a bad job after all

On wider note if Les never wanted Ollie neither did Hoos and both had fears about his strategic side (same as many of the posters on this site) does suggest ollies position might not be as secure as first thought on a plus side TF choosing him against advice does suggest he’s strong enough to make his own decisions.

Bloody ridiculous really. Why hire a DoF then ignore him on the most important footballing decision there is to make?!!

Just to clarify, are you saying that it was Ollie's decision to sign Ravel last season?

Bit rich ### being concerned that Ollie might not be strategic enough ! What sort of strategy does he's possess Ramsey as manager twice JFH and recruited probably the most unballance and biggest squad of players in the championship

JFH wasn't a poor appointment on paper. Was rated one of the best young managers in the English game before he came to us.

Jesus wept Ian Taylor. And he admitted that. In writing. I’m stunned

Yes fans forum Ollie said he wanted Ravel, Les tried to talk him out of it and said he’s bad egg but Ollie said he wanted him. From Ollies mouth
