Talk of dropping Freeman sums up why we are in the position we are in. He is the only creative player we have, yet some are suggesting to be dropped. This is nonsense. Every football team needs a mixture in their side. Robust players, hard-working players, technically gifted players and so on. Freeman is by far our best player. Very close to what Adel was for us, however not as good a scorer as he was.

      Fark me! Drop Freeman?

Most assists in the Championship. Most chances created in the league. In a desperately shite side.

Anyone wanting Freeman benched probably thinks Smithies should be replaced after his one mistake for the season.

      Mad.

no way should we drop freeman, most of the time hes one of our standout players and even on his bad days, which are few, he gets involved.

Bang on Nasser. Always one too many stepover......you only have to beat a player once.

Can see why a few frustrated with Freeman but our most creative player. Be nuts to drop him. Who else is going to create anything? Mackie?

Good player and our only creative outlet. Be nuts to drop him. For me his main weakness is his set pieces. How many free-kicks (on edge of box) has he had this season? Has he scored from any? Not that I can recall. He’d probably be a prem player though if he had that in his locker too.

all the teams have watched freeman now , they're starting to close him down quickly and crowd him . he's the spark in our team the one bit of class he holds the ball a little to long at times because he has little space , would do well to mix it up a bit more and pass and move , hope we keep him in january

Anyone who actually goes to matches can see Freeman has gone off the boil lately. Not saying in any way he should be dropped but maybe he is fed up with passing to Mackie and Washington.

Don’t think we could drop any of the midfield 3 (Luongo, Scowen and Freeman) 3 of our best players, also who would we bring in.

I don’t think our midfield three are as hot as we all thought first half of the season. Scowen and freeman still good but performances are not what they were, Mass for me is only one who has maintained standard from August and September

Still all good but as someone said above not performing as well as they were

It is easy to say drop so and so but then you have to pick someone who is better than the one being dropped, so when someone says drop Freeman they should also say which better player will replace him.

Agree with UL probably fed up passing to Mackie & Washington who are going to lose it anyway.

IH plays 3 in midfield at the sacrifice of losing natural width to the side - a mistake IMO and a big contributory factor as to why we're struggling so much this season.

Remember watching harry Kewell play in australia. he literally stopped passing in the second half, as he'd be constantly tackled waiting for someone to get into space or would pass to someone making a run who had no idea it was coming. He just played for himself. Scored too.

Freeman would do better in a team of better players. Obvious but he's not as good as Taarabt was, ha can't be lazy and single handedly win games. He needs a good striker to bounce ideas off. Him and Charlie would have us in playoffs.

Freeman gives me the impression he doesn't rate Wszolek either as he rarely passes to him - that's my observation from P Block anyway.

I made exactly this point a few weeks ago about him electing not to pass to Mackie, knowing that there's more chance of the team retaining possession by risking taking on the man himself. Again, the lack of wingers limits his passing options too.
