Although I'm still of the opinion that we are going up there to get beat so I'd be well chuffed to get anything

Only a guess and i hope im wrong, BUT i predict Cousins will never play well for this club no natter what position he plays in and no matter how many times.
Its like playing with nine men if he starts.
Hes a proper ugly carnt so he dont get slated like gump which is handy.
nother promising player ruined by the curse.

Cousins has never played in the centre. So play him there. Once. If he's as rubbish there as he's been wide on the right let's get shot of him. Simple.

I do not think theres any reason why a player played out position can offer so little a shot at it than cousins has I'm in complete agreement with Mac on this would love to be wrong but imo he's a dud

I'd like to see a 4-5-1, with Luongo utlised a little further forward in Freemans absence, Sylla used as a centre forward and 2 out and out wingers. I'd also like to see Cousins used in the engine room for once, perfect opportunity to do so with Freeman suspended.

Dogs. What makes you think he is a dud? Best player on the pitch against us 2 years ago while playing for Charlton in centre mid so not sure how he can be labelled or judged as a dud when he has been used as a right winger or worse still right full/wing back.

This not in praise of Mackie just stating a fact I've seen him play right back I've seen him play centre forward against Chelsea and John Terry did give up did go missing did he fark he had a go , was Trevor brooking played out of position when he played for England ? Cousins is a professional footballer and should be able to do job instead of being noticeable by his absence asking a midfield to give it a go on the wing is not like asking Marcos bignot to play centre half is it ? No buddie imo he's a dud

Not having that mate. Don't think he's been anonymous being played out of position, he just hasn't been very good. I'd imagine his confidence ain't great either having battled back from injury, only to be stuck in a role he's never played before.

Give the lad a run in his preferred position before we write him off. If he gets a couple of games in the middle of the park and doesn't grab the opportunity with both hands and impress, then I'm with you.

At least Furlong and Kakay are specialist RBs. They can both do a job there, especially with a proper winger in front them for extra cover if needed,

As others have said, it's totally unfair to write off Cousins as a dud when he's never been given a consistent run in his best position.

As I say, Shodipo would be my first choice LW, but again, at least we have decent back up in that position with Bright, LuaLua and Yeni. It just comes down to keeping things simple, playing people in their best positions and stop tinkering so much. You never get the best out of footballers that way.

i think the lineup will probably be something like
                          smithies
                          manning bidwell robinson baptiste cousins
                          luongo scowen yeni
                          mackie smith

dont want that formation but i can see it. maybe swap out yeni for chair/smyth

You see what you see I see or don't see ! Buddie what I've seen of cousins he's been ominous by his absence , I know a player played out of position might not be at their best but a professional footballer should be able make a fist of it , after all a midfielder asked to play on the wing isn't a chasm away from c/m as said Mackie may not be very good but does put the effort in its not a lot to ask of cousins to do the same , sorry mate but imo he's a very lucky lad to have had a game saying that I repeat I hope to be wrong

                                Agree with most on here.

It's got to be 442, with woslek on the right and bright or lua on the left.

sylla up front and either kaykay or furlong at right back.

Knobhead wont have it though, it will be 35farking2 as usual with woslek at wingback and Gump starting.
