tbh whilst mackie is limited and not very good he is a utility player that when used right can be a decent player for us, he shows passion, motivates the team and is a good character to have around the club which is why i think he should stay. we need players who do care about the club and i imagine hes a locker room leader for us. all clubs need a player at the club who cares. he certainly shouldn't be viewed as a first teamer though but as a sub or someone who starts the odd game

Everyone seems quick to release the majority of those, perhaps rightly so, but they will need to be replaced or we will be very short on cover. Unfortunately it doesn't sound like we will have the financial clout to get anyone better in.

Yeah but it was a long wait for perch to play good football Tarbs will he find that form again his season ?

Get rid: Caulker, Mackie, Onuha, Petrasso and JET
1 Yr Contract: Perch, Grego-Cox, Kakay
                  2 Yr Contract: Robinson, Lumley

I like Onuha but it is time he moved on and we had a new Captain.

Stick Lua Lua in that team and play them vs. Villa.

Can't argue with any of that.

It's actually a pretty nasty injury that he picked up. Amazed he was able to soldier on that night. I would also suspect it will take a while for him to come back to any sort of form.

Like I say, real shame for him to get hurt when he was playing well. Especially when he is so close to the end of his current deal. But there isn't any room for sentiment. He'll be 33 a few weeks after the start of next season, he's been poor more often than he's been good during his time with us, he's probably one of the higher earners, and he's injury prone.

I'd give Onuoha another year, give the captaincy to Luongo. Just have Onuoha as cover, as I'm not sure we will be able to replace him.

Could not agree more will support him whilst on pitch but that don’t mean we can’t objectively analyse or criticise his efforts whilst on it
