I'd be really interested to know what sort of conversations happened in the background prior to Trump publicly acknowledging Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

Totally crazy move for anyone that truly understands the Middle East. It will spark a chain reaction that will cost many lives, and will most likely set back the peace process in Palestine and Israel many years. I understand that Trump is pro-Israel and backs the Zionist movement, but he's playing with people lives and the overall stability of the Middle East with this decision.

This is interesting. It's seems Prince Salman is determined to force a more moderate interpretation of Islam in Saudi moving forward. I don't necessarily think it's a good thing for the world. I actually feel that it is better that there is somewhere like Saudi, for those with fundamental Islamic views to live the way they want to. I've always been of the opinion the Arabic region needs somewhere like Saudi to exist in order for more moderate societies like the UAE to also exist.
