  • QPR win LG Performance of the Week award

QPR's 2-1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend has been voted as the LG Performance of the Week.

The League Managers Association’s five-man panel - comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry - determined that the award should go to Ian Holloway's side, following our deserved victory against the then table-toppers.

Conor Washington and Matt Smith bagged the all-important goals in the 2-1 win at Loftus Road, as Rangers produced a polished performance in front of the R's faithful.

Speaking to www.qpr.co.uk on receipt of the award, a delighted Holloway praised his players for their showing against Nuno Espirito Santo's high-flying side.

He said: “I think we were annoyed going into the Wolves game, because we didn’t get the results we deserved in the matches that came before it. It was a real collective display. The lads showed a steely determination to get the three points. It all came together against Wolves and it was great to see."
