          Unbelievable era.
I’ll never forget my first night at the Astoria, Charing Cross road. Not a drop of alcohol touched my lips that night nor any Friday/Saturday night for the next 18 months.

Best era of music, ever??? Do me a favour Vesps! Probably great if that was the era you were a teenager, but the 60s and especially the 70s are head and shoulders above the 80s as the best era for music, ever! Indisputably!

Don’t let the fact you were too old to enjoy the acid house scene cloud your judgement mate

as a teenager of the 70's most of the music was dire
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

Well if you listened to Radio 2 Lymes....

But..... the 70s had, Bowie at his best, Zeppelin, Purple, Motorhead, AC/DC, Sabbath etc. etc, THE best disco, THE best funk, the finest punk - Clash, Pistols, you name it, Ska, Soul, The Jam, Reggae at its finest from mainstream Bob Marley to Prince Far I and all points in between, New Wave, Electro, I could go on and on......... and you're saying most of it was dire????? What on earth were you listening to????!!

And Vesps - being a teenager in the late 70s was incomparably the best time for music, ever! Unless you happened to be a teenager in the 60s I guess... I did listen to a lot of that Acid stuff, went to a few raves, it was okay. Maybe it was because I didn't take any disco biscuits. I was off things like that for most of the 80s and 90s. Made up for earlier and later though )

                          Cant stand techno though!

70s being the best time ! the fact you still deferred to the 60s shows you dont really believe it !
What we had with Acid House was ground breaking , it changed youth culture forever , except for the middle class punk thing in the 70s ,your generation was good for two tone and mod revival but thats about it ! you were just an inbetween thing that us young 80s Casuals were waiting to turn into ACID !
