    It's quite possible the players they've previously scouted didn't fit the criteria that upper management set out when they came on board this summer...

    It's quite possible the boy Smyth was someone Penrice had scouted...

      It's six clubs, you're right. But then Fulham and Hull got two each. There's other players on loan in the Premier, as well as in lower divisions and even outside Britain. We could had at least tried for a central defender.

          True. They would have been watching players for months and preparing a list for recommending to interested clubs.
