  • Too late now to strengthen the defence....

just hope we can score enough to make up for it. At least we've got Smithies still.

I think these targets are very hard to find and cost a bit more. Let's hope we have some in the youth that can make the grade up.

Very easy to say it, it's not as easy to do unless you sign players for the sake of it.

I think the club may want to loan a player in?

Like getting 2 wide men in the window. As you say buying for the sake of it

I have been a big fan of Tony's but to not sign a centre forward and I mean someone that's done it at this level, not a staines sensation is a huge fu ck up. I watch Leatherhead who are in the same league. They played kingstonians and beat them by 4. Kingstonians defence might as well not been there, no better than a lardy Sunday pub side. I am happy to take risks on these youngsters but you don't just sign them alone and expect them to work out. Talk about chalk and cheese. We should of spent more than our season ticket holders ffs
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Oh and nedum must be pi ssing himself. That's his position banked for another season. Good job we ignore goal scoring fu ck ups.

We can get a loan in can't we? I've no idea why Ollie wanted to get a winger in when we desperately need defenders

Worth noting that we should have Hall back after the international break. Leaves us with: Hall, Onuoha, Caulker, Lynch, Baptiste, Bidwell, Robinson and Perch (when fit).

We didnt sign anyone from Staines. Wheeler came from Exeter, where he scores 21 goals in League 2. Bit of a step up from Staines.

So from left to right - decent if fit, liability, liability, inconsistent at best, jury out, decent, lightweight sick note and liability.

Yep, must fill Smithies full of confidence knowing that lot are in front of him.

Shame we didn't put strengthening our defence at the top of our priorities. A couple of decent centre-halves and we'd be a good good Championship team.
