  • Hughes - the ultimate banker?

it's certainly bizarre behaviour - hill was one of the more reliable performers during hughes' reign. although i guess it fits with the generally appalling behaviour that hughes, rigg and co seemed to show to the players who had got us promoted just a year beforehand like tommy smith, helgusson etc - training away from the first team etc etc.

Just heard that on podcast. He was never a QPR man and if TF had been at club longer he would have known that

Was a great footballer but he has no personality or people skills and no redeeming features. Would love to see Stoke chop him

        Huge pr1ck.

Personally feel for Tony, gets WAY too much stick. Yeah he and others made mistakes, but he's not a b3llend like Hughes. He's still here, he's still trying and he still cares!!

Bottom line, Hughes f00ked it and is lucky to be a manager at any level still IMHO

Don't think Clint's told us anything new, we all knew Hughes made bad mistakes spent a fortune doing, and basically is a $hit

                  Not surprised.

Completely ordinary manager with the personality of a door knob.

Karnt. Hope he catches his foreskin in his zip.

Completely sums up that period in our history and for Hughes to treat Hill, a player who put his heart and soul into playing for our club, after being written off like that, is basically inexcusable. I have always been uneasy with Hughes, brilliant player but as a Manager zero personality. Found it difficult to get excited when he was appointed but at the same time thought it was a sensible appointment by TF and could only see us stabilizing in the Prem. Obviously none of us know what has gone on behind the scenes but i watched Clint Hill and have met him on a few occasions and he comes across as a really really decent person and extremely committed footballer, who I would welcome back to The Superhoops at any time.....Hughes however i cant wait for when we come head to head again now !

Made me laugh too Matty but come on Ginge, when has it ever tickled when that happens - hopefully it proper hurts, makes him bleed, turns septic and drops off
