If he was available for £100 we would definitely have had a chance

Surely people aren't seriously going to get up tight that Reading have signed a player that until recently they hadn't even heard of, let alone seen play.

neymar going to psg for 200 mil (450 mil altogether though) is absolutely insane, its truely jaw dropping when you take into account that only 20 years ago the world transfer record was 20m!! 20m doesnt even seem like a lot of money now for a player!! sad day for football imo, not even messi or c ronaldo would justify a 200m transfer fee at their bests

Couldn't this have been posted in the transfer discussion thread?

Don't even recall us being linked to him...

Kevin. On a serious note what do you think Fernandes is doing with our club? You seem to mock anyone that says anyone who has an opinion that is not 100% favourable so tell me what is your take on him.

Hes doing what spurs and stoke in the prem and ipswich and others are doing in the championship mate. Not spending money on over inflated players and startimg to build us again from grass roots up.

Fair enough point. In Spurs case they have a settled squad that has been built with quality over 5-6 years and all the players are tied down on realistic contracts to protect their value. They will cherry pick players as the work has been done, Not sure how we are similar to them other than they have not spent this year.

Well that has taken them years to achieve. They are much further down the road than we are.
