    Sunday thoughts

When does existence itself start? When does existence itself end?
When does the universe start? When does it end?
They talk about The Big Bang being the beginning of the universe but that's not REALLY what they mean.
They mean it's the beginning of the universe AS WE KNOW IT NOW.
So they're saying that something existed BEFORE The Big Bang started presenting everything as it is now.
But there's no way of saying what was there before The Big Bang started presenting this particular passing appearance of the universe as it exists now. :-)

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

I've always felt that was the biblical way of describing the big bang. One way I've considered it is that before that event, there was nothing. No thing. Non existence. There was no existence; then there was existence. Another way I've looked at it is of a continual flux, from non-existence to existence and back again. A wave.

                    Thought for Monday evening

No two human beings share the same breath rate or heart rate. True.

                    That's quite a thought, isn't it?
