Kone's record speaks for itself. Apart from a solid four year run in Holland a decade ago and a good season in both England and Spain, he hasn't really lit anywhere up.
Would be a safer bet for someone who's either in the Championship currently or on the fringes of a Premier League team looking for six months of football.

This is a player I would have liked but wages come first! Who's the next target?!
