    Relegation looms.
Not one player was good enough or will be good enough.
Our onky hope is Smithies stays, as Ingram is not a patch on him.

agreed about smithes. was not impressed with ingram at all. very quite also, never heard him barking orders at the defence first half.

We are so bad that Mackie is our only good and consistent player.
Hes always been a massive hate figure , now we are pinning our survival hopes on the bloke mate.

If Smithies had been in goal we possibly would have won.

We had more possession than Blackburn, more shots, the same number of shots on target (not sure if the penalty counts), so statistically we should have won.

We are not good enough to just think the cup means nothing as we play Blackburn soon and they will now fancy their chances. Regardless of the changes our best team is not to much up from what Ollie selected yesterday.

Not worried that a team below us in the table beat us with a full strength side at home ginge?
If they purposely lost then I'll agree and not be worried either.

Loving this new catchphrase every time we lose 'we go again.'

I wasn't really paying attention but I heard two embarrassing nuggets about our FA Cup uselessness yesterday....

                  1) we have the worst FA Cup record of ANY club that's played 10 or more games this century.
                  2) with us losing and Plymouth drawing, we now have the worst record of ANY club in third round ties ever.

You'd expect those sort of stats to be attached to a club like, I dunno, Scunthorpe? Darlington? but no.... It's us.

I don't think we should charge more than 50p admission to FA cup ties whilst we are officially the most useless cup team in England.

47 times beaten in the 3rd round apparently.

Actually no. If it was a league game, then yes I would be. For one thing, it was obvious that our lot weren't up for the game yesterday. If it was a league game I reckon they would've been.

Ginger, Do you genuinely believe this group of players can up the ante when they feel like it. We play Blackburn soon and they will fancy their chances against us so yesterday could actually hurt us more than just going out of the cup as Ollie's post match comment shows we are a stable ship right now.

Have they not proven they can up the ante by winning the previous 2 games?

It wasn't full strength though was it, Gladwin and Hall in midfield as well as GK, and young kid up front. It was always going to be a struggle but was disappointed with the efforts shown, although the first goal was quite unlucky.

However, I have written this season off already and our only real objective is to stay in this division and hopefully re-build in the Summer. By us going out now, and one of our relegation rivals progressing that helps our cause IMO, so am not going to get too upset about it.
