  • Lee Gregory - Millwall

    Any good?
We are looking at him at the moment.
Scored 27 last season for Millwall and has 10 so far this season.
Ollie signed him for Millwall as well.
Was rated highly by Holloway when there, fee being mentioned of £1.5mill

Ahem. Sorry about that. I don't know much about the fella to be honest but 27 goals in a season is a good return in any league.

He looks alright in league 1 but he would definitely be another gamble!

I really hope we go for a striker who's done it at this level before personally!

Go to watch Millwall pretty regularly. Been injured a fair bit this season so not been at his best. He is good although Millwall have some good wingers like O Brien to get balls into him. He is quite the all round striker as has some good pace on him too. It is always a risk though when buying from a lower league. Personally think he could get 15 a season here. Think we should keep a close eye on Harry Smith as he is coming thru slowly at Millwall and looks like he could be a excellent striker.

Does have a good scoring record so far from last season, but before last season was non league so would be another gamble again.
I agree we need to look at someone who can score in this league but who?
Rhodes would be out of our price range.

          Where's Rickie Lambert play now?
He would be worth bringing in, but would still want someone else as well!!

Would you be happy if we signed him, based on what you have seen?

Yes if he came for the price Washington came for (clearly better than Washington and far more versitile). Perhaps up to 3.5m to 4 (current market plus its january so always inflated slightly) at most but as it is a risk I wouldn't go more than that.

                  Apparently it's £1.5mill + add ons.
Gotta be worth a gamble then?

For that price, without a doubt worth a punt. Thats a really good deal for sure, he will certainly score a few goals. Been on a good run of form recently too as scored against Gillingham plus scored twice against Swindon, NYE and CE respectively. I know he wanted to leave in the summer, Millwall wanted £2 million and I think Millwall convinced him to stay but only till 2018 so cheaper price must be because of that or they need the cash.

Do you think Conor would drop back down? Or does he think he belongs at our level?

I think Conor will come good, but needs gametime for this to happen which we haven't got time for at the moment.
But I really can't see us spending money on someone that will guarantee us goals.

I would keep Conor, Bring in this Gregory as well and bring in someone on loan as well

I thought he was more attacking midfielder then out and out striker
