  • How big is this transfer window?

For me this transfer window is HUGE!..... as it stands with the players we got, we will be right on the mix for relegation come end of season. Despite (and lets be honest) a very lucky win V Wolves, theres no goal scorers, or at most goal threat within our side... as a whole the squad imo is ok, just needs that bit of creatitity and goal threat added.

From an outsiders (incoming signing) point of view, lets be honest this club right now really isnt an attractive prospect... just finished a 6 game losing srteak/go through managers/wrong end of table...

I just pray that we spend, and spend wisely. Not silly money and silly money contracts, a happy medium..... also the need to move players on right now is massive. Financially and to give other players a chance (ie not to try and fit Chery/Luongo in all the time)

Quite insignificant really. 1-2 players and we'll be ok.

Can we attract those 1-2 players that WILL make a difference though?

great post mate. agree with you totally.

caulker would bring in a few million so we need to offload him asap. everyone else is worth sod all barring smithes who we must keep.

so in short, uncle bungle and co need to put their hands in their pockets and get us a championship class striker to complement sylla and a creative midfielder (ravel on loan)

anything else will be a bonus but no more league 1-2 dross
        nsa/cia spy on this..............┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

Well better start investing in quality rather than quantity. And it would be insanity to give Ollie money to spend now. What he sells he may use but not a penny more. Next summer will be very very important transfer window who ever is our manager.

We don't have money to spend unless we get a fee for our players.

We've also lost our kit money and have to stay within the FFP rules.

We have to shift Sandro, Caulker and any other high paid players we have on our books before any improvement.

Aint that the truth regarding smithies, surely TF/Less can see he is NOT for sale!!..

Good thing about this window, theres no massive re-build needed like in previous windows. Just need a couple of right signings- like you said mate, a striker and a bit of creativity would be just fine!......

My point in the OP about us no being massively attractive to potential sgnings is that we end up giving ourselves more problems by adding $hit rather than quality...

This is why imho this TW is so huge. That if we dont add to what we've got, as it stands we wont have enough quality to pull away from the relegation zone come the summer TW.

Ok, in that sense it's important. Who we get in must be an improvement.

Think both Caulker and Cery will go for 5 million each and already deals are done on these two.

10 million to spend roughly in my opinion Sandro will stay again.

5 mil for Chery? No chance.

I don't think this transfer window is really that important. If we could get a couple of players that would be great. Every transfer window we seem to bring in some players and get rid of others. There comes a time when you need to make do with what you've got and maybe a couple of additions.

Hahaha not a prayer we'd get 10 million. If we got 5 for the pair we'd have had a touch

Still even if we get 7 million that's still a fair bit to spend

2 Good loans and 2 players for 3.5 million each ...;)
