Whoever gets the gig will fail, thats nailed on. Our squad is never good enough for promotion. Reason i'd go with Clement is because i think he would get more time with our fan base with him being a fan and his old man.

    • Westy, If the board make everyone aware of what the aim is the punters are either with them or not. If they come up with ###### and move the goalposts all the time then no manager will ever have a prayer.

Don't matter what they say buddy usual suspects will have their own expectations. If they said we want mid table and to build over time immediate complaint will be paying to much for side not wanting to go for it etc

        • It all depends on what the remit is.

if its building a solid foundation, taking time to train the players that we have and to continue to add slowly to the squad then, rowett is the man.

built burton from nothing and they were promoted twice, all due to his work. also add to that what he has done for birmigham on a shoestring.

the man has experience at this and has achieved.

if its for instant promotion, you have to be looking at big sam or maybe clement.

your powells, robinsons, bellends, etc etc you can forget about it, like jimmy and the pe teacher, they could not build a farking lego house nevermind a football club.

its got to be either rowett or clement for me, depending on the remit of course.
          nsa/cia spy on this..............┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

          • Rowett is the only one of the top 5 other than ollie who will have managed a team with a small if any budget. Fernandes and Ferdinand need to make all aware of the job in hand and stick to it. Only Eddie Howe above him as a young English manager

              • This mornings best odds around the bookies pop pickers.

                Sherwood 1/1
                Holloway 7/2
                Rowett 6/1
                Clement 9/1
                Powell 16/1

                Rowett the biggest mover.
I would be very shocked if it is Clement, its all fine saying bookies get it wrong, but when the blokes in another country they have a better chance of getting the odds correct on him.

                • If the odds and movement is to be beleived then Rowett is our main target as no ties at all to QPR and that would make sense as he was 28-1 this time yesterday.

                    • No it is the longest as 4-7 is shorter than 1-1 (evens) so he is drifting

                      • Dave mc's saying on twitter that holloway and powell are out of the running and clement probably won't be appointed

                          • As I said if the betting is right then Rowett is the man.

                            • Why would Rowett leave Birmingham for Rangers, i don't get it...........unless things going on behind the scenes at Birmingham. Cant just be money as we aren't paying out big anymore?

                              • Rowett said yesterday that hes gunna have money to spend in january and wants to make 2-3 quality signings. No chance of him coming here imo even though it'd be great
