  • If Warnock was operating a 'Pay to Play', should players come forward

or should it stay swept under the carpet?

Why would any player (that benefitted from this type of thing) come forward? The playet got paid, the manager got paid.

If Neil was involved in this sort of thing then you'd have to assume he was smart enough to only approach those he had a lot of trust in.

I think the ones who had been benched instead or hadn't got minutes as a sub would be the ones who would have had an issue.

These accusations were proved wrong by an investigation. Puncheon was fined for the allegations and lucky not to be sued by Warnock.

The only reason this was brought up was because some numpty used parliamentary privileges to bring it up again.

i'm not sure there was any investigation into warnock (fairly sure that's what the fa admitted in parliament). would help matters if the players who were rumoured to be involved came forward and denied it.

It's illegal to ask or GIVE an inducement so it's madness that anybody would admit to it

Is a fair point. He's old school and I bet they all had an angle of some sort. Trouble with today is the sheer greed associated with 'fiddles'. Allardyce on 3 million looking for 400k leaves a sourer taste than the odd brown envelope even though the principle is exactly same. He's a bit of a lad becomes he's a cheating, greedy #######.
