    American stan
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Really great read, a true legend in my eyes.

Love the man to bits, my reason for supporting the Hoops in the first place.
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

one weeks wage from the likes of Rooney would pay for Stans care. Such a sad read
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

Goes to show that Stan the Man was popular with football fans in general not just at QPR.

I lost my dad to Alzheimer's/dementia last year and it is such a heartbreaking disease. Most of the time he really was not there mentally but would then have moments of complete clarity and no matter how many times it happened I was always there thinking that somehow he had come back. Unfortunately that never happened and he succumbed to what is one of the most horrible diseases.

Great article was a true Legend, brought a little tear in my eye, I have couple of members of my family who have Dementia, it is a terrible decease , don't think I can ever remember enjoying watching anyone as much as Stan in his pomp
