  • QPR wanted Newcastle striker & PSG youngster

    QPR made enquiries about Newcastle striker Adam Armstrong ahead of Wednesday’s transfer deadline and were unable to push through a deal to sign French teenager Roli Pereira from Paris St-Germain.

    Newcastle indicated that they were unwilling to loan Armstrong, 19, to what they saw as a Championship promotion rival.

    Roli Pereira is a CAM so would have been needed competition for Chery.

      Shame about Armstrong as he looks a decent prospect.

      However nice to see that Newcastle are worried about us being a threat. I think that's a pretty decent compliment.

            The Club said it was after a number of players. Since Armstrong was on the same arrangement as the Pole, I assume he was one of the strikers we were looking at. Good to see Newcastle considers us a rival.

              Adam Armstrong cos the toons got scared of us so they let him go to Barnsley.
