IMO, Polter and Washington, after a few matches together will be a handful for championship defences.

Will still need another striker for next season, two aint enough. Hoopers flying at Wednesday, wonder was we ever thinking of him.

On Saturday, Polter had no first touch, rarely won a header from a lump up-field but worked his nuts off and was involved in the 3 best moves of the game.

Washington was lively, worked hard and has pace to burn.

Personally think these two will be a very good partnership.

                Devon White springs to mind.

When I read that he had been recalled from his loan I hoped it was because QPR had made a bid for him following Austin's sale, but alas, no he was sold to Wednesday'.

I said that before he was given this chance, he needs to learn how to win headers one on one, but he can score them though.

Polt is still learning our game and can only get better.

Polter reminds me of old skool Div 3 strikers, way way back in the late 60s - ie from whence we came. No touch to speak of.

If you can't control the ball you'll get SFA from any half decent defence. Admire his effort, but the truth is he's barely up to this level.

his goal scoring record so far, begs to differ!

think he is looked upon as one of these players who can do it in e championship, but cant make that step up to prem football. Seemed to struggle at Norwich and couldn't get in ahead of bang average strikers.

Hard to justify spending the money, if you think when you get promoted he needs replacing.

would have liked to seen him here though and obviously knows where the net is at this level. anyone know how much he went for?

Patrick Agyemang-esque purple patch I reckon.
