All the talk about tie in down now, long term contract is another example of the the over inflated expectations of our fans. What player in their right mind would want to commit to us at present given that we are a bang average club on a slippery path to God knows where (maybe div 1). If Hall's got any sence he'll jump ship with the other prem destined players either before or at the end of the season. So if we can't tie him down or get him to sign a long term deal, this should not be seen. as reason to castigate the powers that be, it's just where we are as a club at the present.... Which is not an attractive option at present .

Exactly. Build the defence around him. Possible future captain too with further experience and confidence.

CR lost me when he dropped him against Forest, along with Doughty just after a 3 game winning streak and first clean sheet.
          Kept the faith!

What done us was international break had we followed that win with another game think we would have been on a role

Sign him up long term - can still sell him if we want, and a better contract is a sound investment whatever happens.

God bless you, Alan Macdonald, it can actually be that we have found us a player NEARLY as good as you were.
                  RIP Macca.

Got to keep this guy, a great signing and as others have said a future captain
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

Congratulations, you were right. Ned is now captain.

Yeah, and look what it's done (although against Boro he was outstanding).

And Derby. Nowhere near as bad as some make out. Him & Hall our best CB pairing by a mile.

Mad aint it. Especially considering some of the firepower we have.

At the start of the season we were scoring for fun but leaking goals (at 1 point we were both the top scorers in the league and the team that had conceded most), yet now we can't buy a goal. Austin, Fer, Chery, Phillips... They should be scoring for fun.
