    Personal reasons.....

    New manager coming in?

I wonder if there has been a falling out?
Not one to speculate but that seems a bit odd.

edit - seems it's personal reasons. Hopefully nothing too serious.

Have been reliably informed it's purely for personal / family reasons, nothing more. Blackwell will stand in tonight.

Can't expand on the reasons at the request of Neil – but needless to say, it’s serious enough for him to miss tonight’s fixture.

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

What is happening with the Rangers fans these days...

Everyone reads into just about anything, jheeez. The guy has personal problems and therefore cant make it! KB is standing in for him, who is the current assistant.

I highly doubt a manager is coming in right now that meant NW wasnt available tonight.

It states in his contract he signed before Ramsey was sacked that he won't be able to work Friday nights due to Coronation Street being on. He is from the north after all and they takes these type of things very seriously.

Not ideal, but we would have worked on shape/starting lineup and tactics for this game in the previous few days, so no excuses, we should be prepared........or we bloody should be.

If it was a falling out i dont think KB would be standing in.

All well in good but once they cross the white line they have to have the right mentality to execute a game plan. Players will be different without the gaffa there - and it is s**t preparation when things like this happen.

It must be something bad for a manager to pull out a few hours before KO.
