Both Smithies and Lumley appear to be works in progress; is there a decent veteran out there we could snag if Green moves up?

Let's sign a replacement every time a new player's first match or two isn't perfect. Can we sign a James Perch replacement too, while we're at it?

As many have pointed out, Smithies has played 250-odd games already. Very happy for him to replace Green.
