Haris Vuckic - Austin bargaining chip

The surprise player that could seal Charlie Austin's move to Newcastle. Newcastle forward Haris Vuckic could pave the way for Charlie Austin's move to the North East. The 22-year-old impressed on loan at Scottish giants Rangers last season. And QPR are keen to snap up the Slovenia international, according to the Daily Mail.

The Magpies have so far failed to meet Austin's £15m valuation. But it's thought that Vuckic could be used as a bargaining chip to land the former Burnley ace. Vuckic scored twice during Newcastle's 7-3 defeat against Jong Ajax over the weekend.

It's understood Newcastle also want assurances that Austin has recovered from his history of shoulder problems. It's thought both West Ham and Leicester are monitoring his availability.

I reckon they are just saying that to play there part in getting the Austin deal done.
The Geordie Fans are getting so wet at the thought of having Austin.

Nope, not gifted technically at all which is what you need in an attacking midfielder. Big physical lad who has a good shot on him, apart from that he's a poor player, didn't have a big enough impact in the Scottish championship to prove to me that he is capable of doing a job in the English Premiership
