They must know more than QPR and our media department. Fair play to them*

Fairly sure we have rejected their bid. We want £10m, they can stump up the cash if they want him.

It's not about knowing more, it is about reporting first nowadays. Rush rush rush.

why would they bother to find out the truth for a free newspaper that is largely edited and printed the night before.

agree with that but nothing has been agreed yet. £8 mill is a pretty fair price

Shaqiri is going to Stoke for £12m....£8-10m for Phillips would be quality!

Looks like we're playing hard ball.....

West Brom will walk away from their pursuit of Matt Phillips if QPR persist at their £10 million asking price. The Baggies had an opening £5 million offer rejected by the Rangers’ board.

In any normal bidding process the two clubs would then enter a period of dialogue where a middle ground could well be reached. Therefore there had been speculation that a bid of £7 million might eventually see Tony Pulis land the winger who has become his number one target. But QPR are sticking rigidly a a £10 million valuation and therefore Pulis has been left with little option but to look at other targets.

Does make you wonder, if Les 'wasnt' here would Phillips have been off with that £7m offer..... Also could ask the same question regarding Austin and the under par offers we've had for him??.... great call from the board to appoint a DOF and 1 that has a natural bond with the club!!!
                            SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

Great stuff from the club. If clubs want our prized assets, stump up or the cash or they're staying with us. Quite simple really.

Its mad that this time last year we would've taken the first offer that came along. Personally think the club are doing very well this window.
