Double pie & mash or hang out the back of Olivia Goddard whilst having Kate Abdo gently stroke your sack on the outstroke - have that for a dilemma of the day facto?!

End of era as pie shop closes its doors for final time

Hundreds queued for one last meal at A. Cooke's Pie and Mash shop, in Shepherd's Bush, as QPR fans launched a petition for the business to relocate to Loftus Road

Queues formed outside a famous pie and mash shop in Shepherd’s Bush as customers tucked into its popular food for the last time.

            A. Cooke’s Pie and Mash shop, which has been run by the same family since the rule of Queen Victoria and had a long part in the history of the area, closed its doors for the final time on Saturday.

It sparked an out-pouring of lamentation as customers took to social media to pay tribute to the cherished shop and bid it farewell.

The traditional pie, mash, liquor and eels business was founded in 1899 and has been based in Goldhawk Road since 1934, but has been forced to shut after being served a compulsory purchase order as part of the development of the nearby market and surrounding area...

Why can't they use the little premises next to the Springbok that Rangers used as a club shop for a while?

Would be rammed on match days & I'll bet you a tanner it'd be busy during the week from the surrounding area, plus only 10 min walk from the original gaff.

Sounds like the owner has changed he's mind on relocating.

Def not, not nearly enough footfall. A stand in LR would be great.

I read a few weeks ago the owner wasnt keen on relocating the business, but in the article stan posted it seems to contradict that.

Might have to frequent cockneys on portobello rd before home games now. Sure its going away from the ground to come back but still.
