I am surprised that in this day and age this is not strictly standardised, at least in the upper divisions.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Billy Davies when at Notts Forest, deliberately narrowed the pitch while he was manager. Maybe that was to stop Mackie using up too much energy when he was there.

But surely there must be at least minimum and maximum allowed values? Although clearly they are very liberal.

Could you do the same for snooker?

The way people the media made it out to be, I thought we did have the smallest in the EPL.

The pitch must be between 50 to 100 Yards - Seems a fairly relaxed regulation.

Alright then, when we move to our new glorious stadium let us have a nice square pitch of 100x100 yards as those rules actually permit it

does the pitch need to be rectangular?

would love a circular pitch with oval goals.

                      Wouldn't mind that at all.
                      Is this photoshopped or real?

                          Sorry mate,

they can be ANY combination from 50 to 100 yds wide and 100 to 150 yards long EXCEPT 100 x 100 !
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

                          2015/2016, average at best.....

                          2016/2017, same old, same old....

                          2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

Our pitch has to be the smallest in the premier league, in fact most champs clubs pitches are bigger. Saw somewhere that ours, Lutons and Scunthorpes are exactly the same size. Heard many times from our players and opposition players refer to our pitch as a tight one. It definitely isn't an illusion or whatever due to the closeness of the stands, our pitch is genuinely small...width ways not so much, 6 yards isn't a lot, but length ways, definitely.
"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

And as I don my tin hat and bullet proof vest....

i think this is one of the reasons that SWP never made any impact. His forte (when he used to be bothered) was to run into the space between the midfield and defence but with our short pitch, there just isnt the space for that to happen.

Of course it could be just because he's rubbish....
