Over last few windows we have aimed high which in itself is fine but unfortunately just high, wasting a lot on time on players who probably won't join, whereas we should also be pursuing more realistic targets at the same time to avoid the last minute scramble we have become used to. We are QPR not Barcelona and the majority of players we seem to go for would rather play for teams perceived as being better and bigger than we are.

Don't blame Beard myself. He just goes after who he is told to. I suspect those who do the telling need a dose of realism and to move out of fantasy land.
