How anyone can compare Moyes to Fergie is beyond me. Even before UTD Fergie had proved to be a class act and worked wonders with Aberdeen winning domestic and European trophies against the odds. He was a proven winner.

Moyes has kept an average Everton average. Nothing more. He's won nothing and never looked likely to ever do so, and not taken them forward. It was also a myth he never had money to spend as had and spent comparable budget to teams around him. They played rubbish football and he has negative un imaginative tactics, has played midfielders up front and left fit strikers on the bench when needing a goal, as was the case against us the other year.... Cahill up front alone, 0-1 down and left an in form Saha the bench to put another midfielder behind Cahill..... Genius. They lost.

Also it does my head in when I hear comments about comparable 1st season records when Fergie started or other managers....... They didn't take over the Champions who won by 11 points the season before. People say the squad's no good or ageing, needs an overhaul etc, but they're never as poor as he's made them. If they were, they wouldn't have won the title last year even with Fergie.

Anyway footballs completely different these days, it's business focused and Moyes has cost them fortunes already by not only failing to get champions league, but probably no Europa either meaning a loss of countless £millions in gate receipts also. All existing sponsorship deal revenues will most likely be impacted as not in the top competition and their brand damaged, market value weakened...... Why would they keep him???

Their biggest mistake was letting Fergie choose the successor, because being realistic, any club of that stature would get someone with a history of winning things and Moyes doesn't. His shambolic record in 12 games against the top 6 says it all, as does the improvement in Everton under Martinez.
