Just think of all the players we like for us who Arsenal fans would slate. You think if Hill played for Arsenal their fans wouldn't be busy hounding him out the club? Of course they would. He's a poor man's Mertersaker. But then we are poor men compared to Arsenal.

Giroud is a fine player but joined an Arsenal side lacking quality and given the uneviable task of being compared to / filling Van Persie's boots. Just because he hasn't been on fire from day one doesn't mean he won't come good. That said he may've benefitted from a club with less pressure to bed into the Premier League and could've done a great job for us up front.
