These are the players under contract

    RB: Onuoha, Young
CB: Ferdinand, Hill, Ben Haim, MBia, (Onuoha could be used here)
    LB: Fábio, Traoré

Surely we need 2 centerbacks unless there is someone coming through the youth system

For me Distin would be solid - and then a younger player on loan

    Onouha isn't a centre back.

There are only two people, Caulker & Distin are the ones we should go for.

Yes, apparently he is very good at netball.

Far inexperienced to be playing for us at the moment, He was barely playing for the Pompey first team in League 1!

yes YES culker is the man for us. distin already said he does not wish to leave everton and at 35, dont think i would want him anyway.

Caulker? No chance. Plays pretty much week in week out at Spurs. Even a loan would be highly unlikely.

Caulker is a class act and a future England CB, not a snow balls chance in hell Spurs would let him go unless it was for a huge fee that only somebody like Utd, Chelski or Citeh would pay. He's well out of our league and past the stage of being a loan option for experience.

I think Distin is a very good CB and would be superb for the rest of this season but I, personally, would be reluctant to give him any longer deal at his age.

If we are looking for a young centreback, Grant Hanley at Blackburn would be a good choice.

Not sure if Blackburn would let him go on the cheap and if he were on the market I'd imagine some bigger clubs than us would be interested.

Didn't really want Redknapp bringing much in to be honest due to all the dead wood we have at the club but Nelson going has royally faked us. We haven't a hope in hell of staying up if we are relying on Ferdinand.

wasn't suggesting he should play, just wondering how he's progressing, that's all

Ferdinand could become good if he ever gets over the Terry saga - Ferdinand was playing regularily in the escape last year.
Magri is on the bench in todays match - what about Sutherland - is he a CB
Is Paulo Ferreira at our neighbours a CB - one on loan

                              Sutherland is a midfielder/attacker.

                              Ferreira? No thanks.
