  • Redknapp handed £20m in bid to lure Remy,M'Vila and Diame to Loftus Road (Daily Mail)

QPR want to back manager Harry Redknapp with a £20million spree to fight relegation.
The Premier League's basement club have earmarked Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila, 22, Marseille striker Loic Remy, 25, and West Ham midfield star Mo Diame, 25, in an ambitious attempt to stop their slide into the Championship.

A bid of £9m is said to have been placed for Remy, a £7.5m offer is primed for M'Vila while Diame has a £3.5m release clause.

The club would face a hard sell to convince the players to come after yesterday's 3-0 defeat to Liverpool left them eight points off 17th-placed Aston Villa, but they know Redknapp is a persuasive boss capable of rescuing them.
Newcastle, who will lose Demba Ba to Chelsea, would seem favourites for Remy but a deal for M'Vila, 22, would represent a coup for QPR.

He has been tracked by Arsenal and Tottenham but is suspended from playing for France until June 2014.
Redknapp has also considered Paris St-Germain's Diego Lugano, 32, and Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne, 33, who is returning to fitness and mulling over an offer from New York Red Bulls.

IF true (It is the Daily Mail) our wage bill is going to be ridiculous and when we go down we are in big trouble financially.

I'm pretty sure tony and Philip would have had relegation clauses in ALL of our Signings since Hughes.

Very good players, but no doubt they would turn into bad players soon as they sign the contract.

Dont ya know it. Something seems fundamentally wrong at our club - whoever we sign just dont work out regardless how good they were before.

Cant imagine another team with the likes of Tarbs Granero Mbia Diakite Hoilet Cesar Nelson Fabio Traore etc struggling like we are. Only at Rangers eh.

We have to stop bringing players in that don't want to be at a small club except for the money. Not working.

Why sign another 2 midfielders anyway.... strikers and CB's is what we need.

Got to feel for the board. Damned if they spend by half the fan base and damned by the other half if they don't. The worst scenario is they half go for it, because that won't be nearly enough and will just saddle us with more debt and big time Charlies.

There's still a loan option for defenders though

Bizarre that a centre half is still only mentioned as an after thought. clint hill was destroyed today, as he will be by all the fast, mobile sides we have coming up. Fans have known it seems like forever that this is what we need above all but successive managers seem to miss it.

Why don't we try signing someone from the lower leagues who actually wants to be here and has something to prove rather than players who are only coming because of the stupid wages we are offering! There's a novel idea!
