  • Are Beckham, Joe Cole, Anelka & Kalou the players to lift us?

We are favs to sign these according to the bookies, plus we are also second favs for players like Charlie Austin, Robbie Keane, Lampard, Chamakh, and Milner.

Bookies think we are going to try to buy our way up the table it seems. I'd prefer us to buy young promising players rather than has-beens on the slide. Been there, done that, and it bombed.

No, QPR is slowly becoming a retirement home. I don't think we'll stay up and we should start planning for next season. But Harry's the gaffer, he'll bring in who he thinks can do the job. The only ones from that list I can see him signing is Anelka and possibly Lampard.

Zamora and DJ will be back soon so they'll be like new signings for us.

I think bookies odds on transfers tend to be promo things rather than real odds like a horse race gets. So they get mentioned on the radio and online which is free publicity. So I don't take them more seriously than a red top back page.
As for young players vs old players - I expect a mix with more of the experienced players though. Look at Villa, lots of young hungry players, losing 0-8, 0-4, 0-3. I like Lambert and Villa but sometimes results like that happens when a team does not have experience there to steady the ship.
Anyway the key IMO is to get good solid players, good professionals, who can work as a team and deliver week in week out. Get them at the core of the team.

No, it is over even if we are not mathematically relegated as we cannot make up the ground. Go for younger players who have potential.
