As bad as it sounds we need a barton type midfielder, who gets stuck in, keeps it simple and generally gees the team up in the middle.
In a nut shell ,one man in at any other m/fielders exspence is a certain mr Faulin if fit ,if not arrange as many ressies as possible to get him back ASP

Our defence was only a quarter of our problem yesterday. Our midfield despite its extra number was non existent. Our striker was the wrong type as we went long more often than not. Green let the first in when he shouldn't have. So, our back 4 were as much at fault as the rest.

Oh and Hughes told the lads at HT to press further up the pitch but forgot to tell the midfield to also defend....

You are right. Still shouldn't concede 3 goals through the middle from basic build up play. If you do that you'll concede 5 every week.

And Cisse didnīt even bother to make a run. Strolled along as a spoilt brat. Ps. I knew he didnt like his lone role but after all he is on very good money.

Yes a completley different back four but yesterday was glaringly obvious how poor we are. Ferdinand has to be dropped out for me.

Nelsen & Hill despite their combined age are two no nonsense defenders & against a physical lump like Holt we will need that.

I'd rather we shuffle the pack early on than let a sh!t unit get settled & cost us to much to early.

Harsh maybe but after yesterday I think a major change is required.

    Opinions?
Agree Ric, a complete change at the back is what is needed. Actually looking forward to seeing Bosingwa play, especially at home to chelsea should be interesting, as long as he doesn't get sent off this time. Would be funny if he did JT though.

If the midfield is not there to protect them the defence will remain porous

80's mate it is drastic but I'm not gonna lie if we go into next week with the same back line I'm gonna be sh!tting myself another 5 will be shipped. No communication, no aggression, no quality, no shape the list goes on. As I say change it now while we still have a chance of staying in touch with teams.

Me too Franky, It will be interesting to see what happens if the chelsea reject gets skinned a couple of times, who we will be calling for....Harriman? I'm afraid we got caught out yesterday and I think they (the players) thought they just had to turn up. We had Adel apparently telling the press how it's lovely to play Swansea, we didn't do what we did at the end of last season and that was fight like hell and stop them from playing, and then play our game, we have to still battle with these teams

100% agree, i think we went into the game, wrong formation, wrong tactics and definately the wrong mentality, the way taarabt was running round with the ball, he was trying to mug them off thinking it was a walk in the park... wrong approach

I think I have seen every player bar Hoilett marked as not good enough since yesterday. Its one game, granted a really bad one but still, id go bos for onuha and nelson for hill and keep the rest the same, not worried, we will finish a good few places above Swansea
