Starting XI vs Swansea? Who would be your captain?

What starting xi do you think MH will go for next week? and who do you think will be named captain?

I'm going for:

Fabio-Ferdinand-Hill(c)-Traore
SWP---Diakite---Park--Taarabt
---------Cisse-Zamora-------

I don't think Hoilett will start, but will probably come on for Zamora in the second half, where we might go 4-4-1-1 with Taarabt and Cisse up front, with Hoilett on the left...and maybe Mackie for SWP. I think Clint Hill will be named captain, because he has captain written all over him! He's a leader and a very tough defender and deserves to be the captain. Looking back at our pre season games so far, it seems that MH has stuck with Traore at left-back and I think has recognised that he is a very good player...So I think he will play at left back while Fabio will be played at right back.

By the way, this is all assuming we don't sign any defender(s) before we play Swansea

SWP has been on good form this pre season, and is being played on the right which is clearly his better position. Hoilett hasn't had enough games this pre season, so I don't think he will be starting...he might but I doubt it.

I hope SWP does proove us wrong and find form this year, but I think that he is still disapointing tbh, despite a few goals. Vs Wycombe 1st half he was well shakey, lost the ball a couple times, shooting was woeful and just seemed too weak. TOok his goal well, mind.

Spose he may well start you raise a good point in that he has played alot of pre-season. I should imagine though, if hes fit, Hoilet will start. Guess we'll have to wait n see eh!

Yeah your right about SWP still looking a bit shaky especially at Wycombe. I reckon if Hoilett has a very good game vs Augsberg...then it's certainly possible he'll start!

Who knows? My hunch is that Hill is not a guaranteed starter and therefore unlikely to be captain. He wd be a bit of a Mike Brierely appointment - chosen more for his leadership qualities than his play. My money wd be on Park as guaranteed to start, been there and done it. Failing that Anton. I also wonder whether Onouha and Nelsen won't be pushing for a start?
