Thread: Friendlies

    Default Friendlies

Are we playing all our friendlies in Aisa? Is there any chance to play any Championship/League1 side before we kick off the season? I thought most of the PL clubs play them except top sides. Our last season friendlies were really poor and I guess the same this season. We did not play any Championship/League1 side last season and I find it strange this season too! Our only one last season was with Torquay (League 2).

I'd like to see us play from teams from foreign leagues at Loftus Road.
Some mid-table Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga clubs would be awesome, I'd certainly pay to see us play other teams from top leagues

the point of pre season last year wasnt to play top teams. they went to cornwall to bond and get the way warnock wanted us to play into practice before sthe season started. i suspect hughes wont spend te time in asia preparing for the friendlies but theyll be a few new signings to fit into the team and gel them into his style of play
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

I'd like to see us play MK Dons away, they gave us two really good games in The FA cup & we have good support in the MK Dons areas

I know it is for marketing purposes but not at the expense of some good preparations. We need to end our friendlies with a good side

I hate pre-season, always have. Pre-season friendlies, I've been to a few down the years, but if there isn't one to be had anywhere near London this year, I won't lose any sleep over it.
Am quite happy to wait for the opening home fixture against Swinesea.

Think I'd rather championship teams like Leeds, Cardiff & Palace.

Bigger crowd / atmosphere with a competitive edge...Ideal prep for new season
