It is possible to be respectful of someone's death without flowers being put on a pavement.

Not trying to be disrespectful or argumentative in the slightest, many apologies if anyone thinks I was.

It's just that I detest the big piles of flowers and everything else that builds up anytime someone dies these days.

We used to be able to grieve without doing this, and I'm not sure why it's necessary to do this now.

There has been a great deal of love and respect shown for Macca over the last day, and it's been very touching, I'm not sure that a pile of flowers and shirts etc is necessary. It certainly won't make anyone miss him any less, or be any less thankful for the loyalty and service he showed the club.
