    BLIMEY ive just found out that the great alf mancini was actually from notting hill


    i always thought he came from fulham palace road

    facto you being an ex boxer did you know the mancini brothers,or did anyone on here know them

    Not been round that way for a long time .

    yes ted halcyon days indeed...denny mancinin was a top cuts man back in the day and i got most of my gear from their shop ....'frank hewitt sent me' was the que for a hefty discount ...frank hewitt was a really decent ex pro/trainer who owned the fruit n veg gaff just opposite the western on the a40 in east acton many moons ago...

    indeed he was celts old chap....frank was a bit of an all rounder boxer/dancer /singer....real ladies man...i dated one of his shops 'saturday girls' back in the early eighties and met him through her...once he knew i was fighting at the time for hogarth he quickly got me to sign for him at st aidens........taught me a lot about the fight game...lost touch years ago hope he is live and well!
