              Hull are getting DESPERATE to get him off their books..
              ======================================
              Hull Daily Mail
              HULL CITY: Adam Pearson rejects Premier League move
              Tuesday, June 14, 2011

              "....IPSWICH have formally ruled themselves out of the running to bring Jimmy Bullard back to Portman Road.

              The 32-year-old midfielder established himself as a firm fans’favourite during a four-month loan spell in Suffolk last season and manager Paul Jewell had hinted at the possibility of brokering another deal this summer.

              However, the prospect of that reunion looks dead in the water after the Ipswich boss admitted he is now looking elsewhere to strengthen.

              “Jimmy was great for us and we were good for Jimmy but realistically it just isn’t going to happen,” said Jewell.

              “We just can’t afford to pay what Hull want and what Jimmy wants.

              “He’s not just on a Premier League contract, he’s on a top Premier League contract.”

              With Ipswich out of the running, it seems only QPR remain as realistic suitors.

              Bullard, who has another two years left on a now infamous £45,000 a week contract, is due to report back for pre-season training with the Tigers in less than three weeks.

              Without an offer from any club since the end of last season, the Tigers are beginning to face up to the prospect of Bullard returning to Nigel Pearson’s first-team squad on July 4.

              Having seen his ranks develop without Bullard for most of 2011, it is not the ideal situation for Pearson to address next month.

              But with another eight weeks remaining before the Premier League season begins, City are still hopeful QPR will come calling."

                We'll see.

                Celtic revealed his salary when they attempted to sign him on loan last summer. No doubt to appease fans when they didn't sign him they said that JB was demanding an extra 2k a week on top of his 45k a week salary for relocation expenses. Also, when Duffen was sidelined at Hull the new geezer said JB's salary was costing them well over £2 million a year. Apparently Ipswich contributed 17-18k a week during his loan spell there, with Hull picking up the rest.

                          Either of them two but Jay Bothroyd would be such a good signing.
