  • Biggest disappointment of 2015?

This is a question with many answers. Here are my top 5:

    (1) Harry Redknapp -- combination of age, disinterest and arrogance depressed a squad of players looking for a strategy, and a fan base looking for a contender
    (2) Adel Taraabt -- it's hard to imagine a more talented underachiever whose historical footnote will be for lack of discipline and concern for team
    (3) Rio and Caulker -- what looked like a dynamic back duo turned into a defenseless mess setting records for all the wrong reasons
    (4) Striker-less -- The lack of strikers all season, and/or refusal to play others who ARE strikers (Vargas) in their proper position created an all or nothing Charlie offense lacking pace, imagination and production
    (5) Mutch Ado about nothing -- one of many poor signings in the off-season that helped quell any chanced we had of remaining in the PL

On the flip side, my top five winners:

    (1) Charlie -- epitome of an English soccer player with grit and determination
    (2) Hill and Dunne -- two stalwarts lacking pace but not blood and guts commitment to the team
    (3) Green -- yes, not the best keeper for goal kick distribution, but uncannily sharp goal-saving skills that kept us in many games
    (4) Joey Barton -- not top quality, clearly, a la PL standards, but hardly a game where he wasn't all in -- a mercurial, but meaningful, captain
    (5) The Fans -- despite the gut wrenching roller coaster of the past few years, the base held firm, especially on a near winless journey on the road

I am disappointed that basically everything has happened exactly as I envisaged it when Harry did not leave in the summer and we signed Rio.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Too many things to mention, but playing Vargas and Fer out of positions most of the season is one of the things beyond me.

The biggest disappointment is that we made the same mistakes as we did from the last time we were in the prem, nothing has changed... Shocker of a season.

Pretty much. Everything has gone to script.

Not playing our best players, signing shite ones, not learning from our mistakes and showing no sign of breaking this pattern.

until we start acting like a proper football club and bringing in youth, lower league and young prospects we will not go forward.

not strengthening a #### squad in January. Only to be watching two or three of the best players we have had in years leave in the summer.
