  • My Worry

We are keeping hold of Harry and looking to shift on players like Phillips and Mutch who haven't been given a fair crack.

Both at a decent age and personally think if shown some faith could be valuable assets to this club. Plus if we do get relegated they could be big players for us in the championship.

My worry is nobody at the club is thinking long term or thinking of next year...ie if we go down or stay up or life after Harry. It starting to scare the crap out of me.

Harry is always focusing on short term solutions. We need to keep the squad together and especially some of our younger prospects atleast until the summer when we can take stock and really assess on the year ahead whether that's in the prem or championship or atleast with anew bloke at the helm.

To lose players like Phillips and Mutch now imo would be a disaster and again it would show a lack business sense or direction. If we are to let these two go I hope its on loan and to the championship. Just doesn't make sense to lose two good champ players at good ages when lets all be honest we could be back in that league next year!!

If the worst happens next year we all want a decent shout of competing in that league and none of us want to see wholesale changes again and we wouldn't need them if we are sensible. We must plan for both outcomes and I hope the club are sensible and don't panic into quick sells.

I think Matty will come around one of these days.
As for Mutch, what happens if he goes on loan and plays well? If we get relegated, he will surely be sold. If we stay up. he would be beneficial (if he plays well, IF)

agree with the sentiment Maidstone, think there are a fair few in front of those two I'd give the old heave-ho. His name is Rio, Traore, SWP, Toilett . . .
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

Agree, we need to hold on to these players, coach them and play a formation that suits them!
        Kept the faith!

Other than rumours, do we know for sure Harry is trying to ship out Mutch and Phillips?

With the right coaching/tactics etc we have the spine of a good team McCarthy,Caulker,Mutch,Austin,Phillips. Mutch has never really got going and neither has Phillips. As for Phillips he was injured last year and then when fit this year asked to play up front against Spurs.

These players need games, games in the right position, in a team that is not changing formation every other week.

We need players that will impact now not next year or in the future.

Short term fixes is what we need but in the hope they may be long term. Staying in the PL is the most important thing and is all we should be concentrating on.

Have mutch and phillips both gone then? Must of missed that? Or is it the same papers who said harold redcrapp would one million per cent be sacked of we lost to man ure. Lets all worry about things that aint even happened. Helps out a lot that does.

I understand what you saying, but I cant be done at any expense and with no long term strategy. That would just be stupid.

So we bring in lennon, berbatov and mvilla and ship out mutch and phillips but still get relegated. Do you think them 3 will stick around next year or what they going to be like on a cold night in Rotherham?

We must prepare sensibly with all equations planned for. Plus the fact players like phillips and mutch deserve a chance this year. I don't think anyone could argue either have been give a far crack by harry or a run in a team?

Selling them would show massive naivety imo and would stink of panic as we are struggling to sell the ones who should be offloaded well before these two are considered.

Kev mate I like you and always thought your a decent poster but you far to up Harry crack mate - No they haven't gone but Harry clearly doesn't fancy them and we have 9 mill worth of talent not being given a chance week in week out.
The paper do spout a lot of rubbish ill give you that but some of them have very good sauces to. So its a perfectly reasonable discussion and I think they the worry is justified.

This pro Harry and nothing is wrong at QPR is a load of rubbish now. I agree we are still in with a shout and that's fantastic but there are some fundamental wrings happening at QPR and as I have said before a lot of it is Harry.

10 away defeats is wrong. Tactics are questionable and some of the transfers are hugely questionable. Ie harry and rio and harry and sandro. We all know sandro on his day is a good palyer but harry chose to pay 10 mill on a player who everyone knows is injury prone rather than bringing in another striker. How can you justify that?

How can we justify hoilett starting so many games and fer continuously played out of position and phillips not given a chance. Its a bit of a joke tbf. My gripe is yes we are still in with a shout but I believe we could be mid table if we had a manager with a bit more tactical nous and passion.

Ive got the bang hump with harry mate and wanted him gone after burnleys god awful load of rubbish. But he is staying so we have to try and pray for the best. Worrying about things that aint happened is just pointless imo, cos there is enough people on here down on everything to do with the club like they were last season. I just dont think its good to encourage them any further by stating shi te press speculation as worries.
Its rangers i care about, not redknapp. Cant bring myself to non stop constantly moan about the club i love, like so many on here do, i would hate to hear what they say about their missus's.

I think something here needs to be reviewed by yourself maidstone. I understand your gripes but from how I see it, I don't think harry has an issue with either to be honest. I think Vargas is significantly better than Phillips and Fer is too good to be replaced by him. For mutch, I don't think we can afford to take out Henry due to incredible form, barton is also the club captain and won't be leaving the first team any time soon in my opinion (Unfortunately).

Secondly bringing to point to Sandro's transfer, it was 6 mil with 2mil add ons based on appearances and performance. 25 years old, champions league quality on his day, which is basically most games he plays. Hoilett has only started 6 matches, 1 more start than Phillips so both have been given a fairly even chance.

Fer has been playing fantastically all season despite being out of position and I can't wait until next week when we may just see him in CM with Sandro and I hope Henry (I believe Barton) Playing behind him in like a deep 4231

Selling is a two way thing perhaps apart from Austin and Caulker he thinks they are the only players teams are likely to come in for at the available price and wages
