  • Have we improved defensively or gonna backwards?

Personally think that defensive back 4 in the Play Offs would have been more solid than what we've seen this season.

    Gone backwards most definite.

There were times yesterday that the positioning was quite literally laughable. We will continue to leak goals.

Sandro should make a difference we have no anchor man to cover the back 4 or break up attacks

I would like to see Ned and caulker at centre back.

Isla looks away with the fairies most of the time, Yun needs to be given a chance and I'm not overly impressed with rio or caulker tbh. Rio lost his man again yesterday.

Dunne has taken a lot of stick, especially after Spurs, and a large proportion of people said Simpson just wasn't good enough at this level after Hull.

Think the whole team has been poor. Defence highlighted because of amount of goals leaked & in the fashion of them but you defend from the front. Our so called midfield tough players Fer, Sandro, Barton have done very little in the games they've played to protect the defence.

Definitely lots of room for improvement. What's happened to the 3-5-2 Harry was so set on?

On paper this back 4 should be far superior, but tbh after the 2 games I have been to this season (Utd & yesterday) I am inclined to agree, we look shambolic at the back - almost Sunday league type stuff at times. I genuinely fear what Chelski will do to us unless we drastically improve somehow.

Burnley 3 CS's in a row with the same backline. Not about individual superstars but a solid unit who know how each other thinks...

Good & valid point but who gave they played out of interest?

Not that amazing then in reality apart from Utd but agree a lot better than us!

V unlucky vs Utd, missed a last min pen vs Palace and hit the bar last min against Sunderland. Whisker away from 3 wins and 3 cleansheets! Our motto last season was build from the back, Burnley looking very solid with a Championship line up (on paper at least). Would Simpson have been any worse then Isla yesterday?

The players said they were not comfortable with it and asked him to change it back.
