Was going to post this on the Fernandes twitter thread but seems to be a bit of an argumentt going on.

Anyway fully expect a couple of announcements before the end of the week to support his tweet. He's back in the country, Ferdinand is done, Caulker likely to follow along with the possibility of two more so could well be a busy couple of days.

Not had internet, see Ferdinand almost sorted, think there might be a couple of surprises, several possibilities Fer, Sigthorson but also the Greek and Italian lads. Also think there will be an attacking right back as think he might go for three at the back. Fingers crossed.

I've been thinking about it since we been linked all these cb's and already have Ned, Dunne and Hill. That we also mean that we must play 2 upfront

Yeah that's why I think his doing it. Imagine remy Austin up top..., we tried it a couple of games last season think blackpool and charlton and we were woeful.... So hopefully gets right personnel in to get it right?? Who else plays 3 at the back premier league?

Clearly looking for another right back as well as the central defenders, can see that Augier ending up here now Arsenal have signed Debuchy, although believe he will cost in excess of 5 mill, lot for a right back but excellent going forward.

The World Cup showed it to be an excellent system if you have the right players and even his critics must see Ferdinand is ideal to play as the spare CB as he reads the game very well using his organization skills to organise not only the defense but his midfield shield.

Fair play can be very defensive as ends up 5-3-2 majority of game. Need two very fit wing backs who can attack. Don't think that will fit Simpson IMO. Solid right back but not attaching enough

Agree re Simpson his poor delivery doesn't fit that system, although guess can do a job in that system if needed, pretty sure we will get an attacking right back.
