The only way to be certain of clearing out the deadwood is simply to pay them off the remainder of their contracts which = even more money wasted. TF...
Think you're on your own there ..........the majority on here haven't had a good word for these players........
I still wouldn't describe them as "2nd rate players". The point is that their performances this season have been 2nd rate due to a combination of a split dressing room, poor team spirit and destroyed confidence following poor results.
And the responsibility for that ultimately lies with TF for NOT appointing 'football people' (i.e. Philip Beard) to oversee
He also said he couldn't work out if he's pre or post op.
The thing is nowadays coming out with transphobic comments is deemed equally as unacceptable as homophobic or racist comments, which is what has been picked up on with this latest outburst. He's now also made himself look a foolish hypocrite because of his recent anti-homophobia campaign for gay footballers. This has since been pointed out to him
We're down in all likelihood, but saying that far stranger things happen in life so it's by no means over yet.
If people wish to remain hopeful and/or optimistic that is entirely their prerogative. It does not mean they are deluded, just that they have a different mentality. Not even the most optimistic posters are saying they 'expect' us to survive, but that's not to say they're not hopeful of it or even believing we MAY still do it, based on our and our neighbouring team's run-in.
Hughes in his post match interview yesterday stated our biggest problem is the defence making very poor and basic errors. He then singled out Nelson for special praise (along with Adel) saying he was outstanding. This can only mean, to me, that he has finally woken up to the fact that Anton Ferdinand (a Warnock signing) is simply not good enough and has cost us too many goals (he was again at fault for 2 of yesterday's goals). As far as I'm concerned Onuoha, Hill or Mbia are all better CB options,
I think the sooner the board sack him the better, while there is still time to get the season back on track for us and maybe, just maybe, avoid relegation.
3 big problems with that:
1) Whoever you bring in may not fancy the players we already have. What do you do then? Have another major overhaul and spunk even more millions? As it is we have used 45 players since our promotion - by far and away more than any other team.
