Who said about charging forward? With three in midfield, it would let out fullbacks go forward more, but it doesnt mean they should be charging forward like headless chickens. Seriously, 4-5-1 isnt really a very attacking formation.

It's 4-3-3 when you're attacking and 4-5-1 when you're defending.
