  • Matt Smith was outstanding tonight and fully deserved the standing ovation that came his way.

Always felt he was an important asset for us. Like Nakhi playing off him as well.

                    • Interesting line up tonight. Really pleased with the boys, thought everyone got stuck in. Hall was fantastic, Scowen was the best he's been in a long time. Smtih also had a good game, played a bit deeper a times but got stuck in and made a difference. Most foot work I've ever seen from him! McClaren got it right tonight. I wasn't convinced we'd turn up tonight, so pleased I was wrong.

                      • Just in now.
Thought pompy were utter garbage. It's clear as day that the gap between the championship and league 1 is as big as the prem and championship.

Can only recall them having around 4 shots on goal with 1 on target, all in the last 5 mins.

We were also pretty carp in the first but stepped up in the second.
Freeman and Luongo were our best players.
Their no 9 looked pretty handy though.

                        Comfortable win.

Brollyman?? Isn’t he managing your football club? Taken us to 5th round too. Comments like above just beggars belief.

                          • Thoroughly deserved win tonight. Thought that was a cracking game. Good atmosphere too. Clearly more than the 13,115 they say there was. More like 16,500 ish. Everyone played their part. Thought Smith was good. Hall very good, would like to see him get some more league games now. Lynch a few dodgy moments but what's new. Scowen, Luongo both solid. The goals knocked the stuffing out of em. Good loud support from Pompey with added to the night Bring on Watford. Lets hope we can get Hemed a couple of sub appearances before then. UR'SSSSSSSSS

                            • Atmosphere was pretty good in fairness. Shame the R block and X block sing at the same time but different songs. I was in the press bit at the back of V so could hear both ends. Portsmouth fans were good, which is to be expected. Thought it was a pretty terrible first half but much better in the second.

Pretty much sums it all up nicely !

Would add that Scowen had possibly the best game I've seen him have all season and that thank f*ck we didn't lose Matt Smith to Millwall.....
