Would be better off with an English born and bred DOF,who knows the English game inside out.Maybe a guy like that and with him helping Paulo as manager?.Either that or Paulo as coach under a more experienced English manager showing him the ropes.
I don't know. I don't like the DOF role in football - I can't think of any examples where it has been a success in English football. Avram Grant did well for Pompey as a DOF but was he a success??? He did realitively well for someone who arguably didn't know the English game.

History shows us that British managers without DOFs get promotion from the Championship.

Was Niall Quinn DOF when Keane got Sunderland promoted or was he Chairman?
